Dr. Marta Blalock is a tour de force with this gaggle of four and five year olds as they grasp the beginning concepts of playing the violin. It is a 30 minute exploration into violin anatomy, discipline, note naming and rhythm structure. For you muso's out there - ever thought of 4 sixteenths and two eighths as "pepperoni pizza" pepperoni pizza" or how about introducing the triplet with "strawberry" "strawberry". Learning couldn't be more fun in this pint size class of little people expressing themselves with as much verve and abandon as they do in the playground.Classes for the Spring Quarter will be posted at the Villa Musica website by March 1st.
